In May, when I was thinking about the summer ahead, I pictured a quiet and relaxed few months. I really didn't have too much planned. Somehow my summer became much, much busier than I had anticipated. During a time of such high gas prices, I have found myself in my car quite a bit. The upside to all of this is that I have gone to places that I love and have really enjoyed myself.
Last Saturday morning, bright and early, we traveled up to Maine to camp in Acadia with 4 friends. We had perfect weather, well, except for a 20 minute downpour (that's a story for the next post). We arrived back in Boston on Wednesday night and now I'm packing my bag once again to travel back to NJ and my lake. I have a bunch to do there and I'll be sharing photos of my hometown and photos of some shoots I'll be doing while I'm there.
Until then...here is a photo of some Queen Anne's Lace that I saw in a field while in Maine. I think it's quite beautiful, elegant and simple. Queen Anne's Lace always reminds me of the scene in the movie version of Anne of Green Gables when Diana picks some to put in Anne's short hair. I had my hair cut short yesterday, which made me think of Anne too.
I'll be posting more images from Maine soon. till then.
