It has been a fun and wonderful and fascinating experience to photograph Nicole and Conor and their son over the last 5 months. Seeing Nicole pregnant was great because I could sense the excitement and the anticipation that both her and Conor had. Going back to visit them a few weeks later when their son was born was wonderful. I got to meet him and see the ease with which he fit into their lives, but also the small fumblings as Nicole and Conor learned how to do it - how to be parents. They seemed quite adept early on though.
This time was even better! Their son has grown quite a bit. He's much more alert and very aware of everything happening around him. In just a few months, Nicole and Conor have truly "become" parents. Everything about their family felt right - they fit together well - including their dogs.
This time, with the weather being nice (and not winter) we took a walk on a trail that starts right in their backyard. How great is that!? As he grows up, their son will have the woods as his playground.

I love the next two photos so much.

After our walk, Nicole and I sat for a while and talked. It looks like he's saying, "you mean me?" And...look at his little toes!

check back in a few weeks for my 6 month visit with them.
