While it is still technically summer, and I don't have school to remind me of what this time of year is supposed to feel like, I still can sense the change of the seasons. I do enjoy autumn...I do, but summer is where my heart belongs, where it feels the most at home. Even on those overpoweringly hot, muggy days - I'm happy.
With a very eventful summer on the verge of moving behind me, I sit at my desk editing images, upon images, upon even more images (enjoying it, of course) - and take in the slightly (very slightly) chilly breeze coming through my window. The groove of work and life is starting to set in, ever so hesitantly. I'm ready - and not really ready all at the same time.
So, to jump start my afternoon of working at my desk I've made myself a cup of french press Equal Exchange coffee - Love Buzz, with a side of chocolate walnut biscotti from Clear Flour - honestly one of my favorite places in this world. I wouldn't be surprised if their business hinged on my purchases - kidding, sort of.
In honor of the upcoming fall season, I would love it if each of you left a comment in the 'comments' section of this post with one thing that brightened your Summer season. What one moment really stands out in your memory from the past few months? And, one lucky, lucky poster will receive a bag of tasty goodness from Clear Flour!! I invite all of you to write something...strangers, clients, friends, fellow photographers, family...everyone! I'll be choosing someone, at random, on Monday morning.

my one moment: This summer was filled with so many great experiences...spending time with friends, my best friend's wedding, our amazing party, and just standing on my rock in the lake. But, my moment is the seconds before Peter proposed...knowing what was happening...but it hadn't happened yet - taking it all in...the lake, the sky, the breeze, Peter sitting next to me. That's my moment.
