We're up to our final installment of Bonnie & Burton's wedding. If you missed part one & part two...definitely check them out. Their wedding day was filled with many DIY details and personal touches - and you will see many of them here.
All of the gorgeous flowers from Stillman's Farm were in old jars throughout the ceremony site and in the barn where the reception was held. I loved the effect of having the jars hanging on the barn.
Burton had collected many postcards from his travels and they decided to put them to good use. They combined their 'guest book' with the table assignments. Each guest was to find the pen with their name on it - which also listed their table number. Everyone was then asked to choose a postcard, write them a note - and place it in the green mailbox.
This was a project...but well worth it - Burton drilled perfect pen sized holes into each block of wood for a cool way to display the pens. If you look closely you can see my name and Peter's too!
All of the food was prepared by JJ Gonson and her team from Cuisine en Locale. They were fabulous in so many ways. The food was amazing - very fresh and incredibly tasty. And...they were so much fun! I have a great time doing my job and it's wonderful to see other people enjoying their chosen careers as well. You should definitely check them out. They have food events once a month in and around Boston, which I'm definitely planning on going to soon. And, they had bread from Clear Flour! If you've been following this blog you know my obsession with them.
All of the dishes were a collection of china found in thrift stores and online. Bonnie's friend collected them for her wedding and kindly allowed Bonnie to borrow them. I love the way the tables looked all set with different china patterns. I even saw my mom's china on a few tables.
After dinner Bonnie & Burton had their first dance - and then the party began. It was a bit chilly outside, but inside you would never know it...dancing definitely can warm you up.
Bonnie & Burton - it was an honor to photograph your wedding. Thank you so much for choosing me (& Peter) to photograph your wedding. It was definitely a day that will we both remember.
