Kelsie & Doug are very close friends of ours. We met them about 5 years ago through other friends of ours. All of these friends + two more - we consider our "group" of Boston people. About a week before we found out Kelsie & Doug were engaged our group gathered for an evening of cocktail tasting. That evening Kelsie mentioned wanting to grow her hair out - she wanted it long again. For some reason - that was the exact moment I knew. On our drive home that night I told Peter that they were going to be "officially" engaged by the end of the week. Sure enough - it was true!
Kelsie & Doug fit together so well. I love being in their kitchen and watching Kelsie run about creating amazing food, while Doug makes her a dirty gin martini and tells us the latest tales of their life together. Doug is getting quite good at making homemade beer. Maybe they'll be a homebrew for their wedding? Yes, please.
They'll be getting married next June. I plan on dancing the night away - and not photographing. I'm so glad I was able to do their engagement photos with them though - especially with such a great idea and theme! Doug recently graduated with a degree in Film Studies; Kelsie & Doug have the K&D Livingroom Theatre...Kelsie makes the best popcorn; They generally enjoy watching movies of all kinds and are members of the Coolidge Corner Theatre (Peter and I are too...and you should be as well!). All of these reasons perfectly fit together for a shoot at the Coolidge!
I know I haven't been the best with posting on here. We have less than a month to go before our wedding. I plan on catching up with all of the lovely weddings we've shot before and while we're gone. Stick around...there's quite a lot to come!
