Soon after I moved up to Boston, Meghan & I met. We knew each other for a few years when she suggested to her friends Shannon and Amanda that they should choose me as their wedding photographer. Meghan was Shannon's Maid-of-Honor, and did a fantastic job with her duties, especially with the toast she gave. Now it's Shannon's turn to be the bridesmaid, and Meghan's turn to be the bride.
Meghan & Mikey met at The Burren in Davis Square on Meghan's birthday, which happens to be in November. There was a Pilgrim pub crawl happening that same evening. Meghan managed to snag a paper pilgrim hat from one of the pub crawlers and it soon became her prized birthday possession. Mikey happened to be in the bar that night too. He made his way over to to Meghan and stole her hat! When Meghan asked for her hat back, Mikey smoothly managed to get her number and still keep the hat. Needless to say, that hat played an important role in their story, so it made it's appearance in our shoot, of course.
We met up in Davis Square – where their story began, and made our way around – ending our afternoon at The Burren. Our shoot started in front of the Somerville Theatre, where they were wonderful enough to light up the marquee for Meghan & Mikey.
