One of the things I enjoy most about doing engagement sessions, and the main reason we do them, is getting to know our couples. This is especially true this year where most of the weddings we'll be shooting we booked over the phone, so have never even met the couple in person yet. We leave the place and what we'll be doing up to them, so as to bring their personalities into the photographs. Some shoots are playful – frolicking in an apple orchard, or walking around a natural history museum. Others are a mix of romantic and playful – like this one and this one. And then there are those that are altogether romantic.
We had never met Karen & Ben before. Believe me, we tried. Our original idea was to do a snowy shoot this winter. Boston sure did produce the snow, but those snowstorms were always poorly timed and it never happened. Then they asked if maybe we could come out to Provincetown do a shoot the week of their wedding. And so we did, and I'm So glad. I believe (fingers crossed) that the sun will pop out for their wedding tomorrow, but if not, they'll have these photos to look back on.
Karen & Ben – we're very excited to see you both tomorrow (rain or shine)!
fun fact – the photographs of K & B by the moors were taken in the same location as some of our very own engagement photos were taken.
