I just loved this wedding. Not only are Ariel & Drew wonderful to be around, they really thought about the entire experience of their celebration – something a little different for their guests (and photographers) to enjoy.
Ariel & Drew were married last November in the Berkshires. They met at Williams College, and decided to have their celebration in the area of the world in which they fell in love. Drew got ready for the day at Porches Inn, while Ariel got ready with a few of her closest friends at Field Farm Guest House (a place I very much want to spend a weekend cozied up next to a fire). The first look was to happen on the gorgeous grounds at Field Farm, but it began to rain, and so we had their first look inside, which ended up being perfect.
The rest of the events of the evening all happened at MASS MoCA. Their guests arrived to champagne in one gallery and then moved on to a gallery space with work by Sol LeWitt on dislplay for the ceremony. The cocktail hour and toasts took place in a brick lined stairwell – a very cool location I thought. Then everyone was escorted the Tall Gallery, where work by Jason Middlebrook was on display, for the reception.
