Erin & Michael were married on Block Island this September. Friends and family traveled from across the country and across the globe to celebrate with them at the Atlantic Inn. Michael's family have vacationed and called BI home for a long time. They've also known the owner's of the Atlantic Inn, Brad & Anne Marthens, for many years, so it only made sense to have their celebration take place there.
The day began with sun and blue sky. Erin & Michael chose to do a first look in the garden at the Inn. There were tears (which we all know I love) and laughter – the perfect way to begin the day together. They gave us over an hour to explore the island and take photos with them. We had a great time at the Southeast Lighthouse, Mohegan Bluffs (I didn't make them walk all the way down to the water, but you know a small part of me wished we could) and our last stop was at a gorgeous goldenrod covered field, which disappeared the next day. Sometimes things work out perfectly.
The ceremony and cocktail hour were held outside, and as luck would have it, the rain held out until everyone was under the tent for the reception. Guests danced while the rain poured down. The New York Funk Exchange was amazing! They kept it going until the island's curfew. It was a lovely and perfect day.
Erin & Michael – We loved being a part of your wedding day. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to go back to the Atlantic Inn. We're very glad to know you both.
