To begin with, I want to say that I am aware of my lack of blogging lately. The truth is that I have a new website in the works, which is very close to being finished. I've been holding off on posting until that went live, but the best laid plans and such. I wanted to write a little something before this evening came to a close, so here I am.
Tonight I will be traveling to Portugal and exploring that country for the month of March. Last July 4th weekend Alex and I came up with a plan to go on a sojourn. We had just finished listening to my father tell stories of trips he had taken in the past with my mom and his friends. He often calls these trip sojourns, which I've always loved, and Alex took a liking to this as well.
We were down at the dock after listening to one of his stories when she said to me, "We should go on a sojourn!" I said, "We should!" Honestly though, I said it in that way you say yes to something that you have a feeling only has a 10% possibility of happening. Well, sometimes those ideas actually end up happening.
So, we're off! I may post here sometimes, I may not. I'm not quite sure what the next few weeks have in store honestly. I will be taking photographs, of course. I'm not taking my digital camera, only film cameras for this trip.
